The Expertise Behind Breezair in the UK

Choosing the right cooling technology is important. But so too is knowing that the expertise and support are there to ensure it is applied correctly.

CPA Engineered Solutions is the exclusive UK distributor for Breezair evaporative cooling, but our relationship with its manufacturer, Seeley International, began long before that appointment.

Having worked with Seeley International for many years, we had already developed a strong understanding of its evaporative cooling technology before being appointed as the exclusive national distributor for Breezair in the UK in 2023.

The appointment strengthened an established relationship, bringing together Seeley International’s experience as a manufacturer with CPA’s engineering expertise and nationwide support.

More Than Access to Breezair Technology

CPA’s experience with Breezair means customers have access to specialist knowledge and support here in the UK, backed by a direct relationship with Seeley International. From initial advice and system design through to installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance, CPA provides support throughout every stage of the project, with nationwide coverage across the UK.

This combination of manufacturer knowledge and UK-based expertise means customers have access to the right support throughout the life of their Breezair system.

Manufacturer Knowledge, UK Engineering Expertise

Breezair is manufactured by Seeley International, an Australian company with extensive experience in the developement of evaporative cooling technology. Direct evaporative cooling works differently from traditional refrigerant-based air conditioning. Rather than recirculating cooled internal air, Breezair uses the natural process of water evaporation to cool fresh outside air before supplying it into the building.

That difference makes understanding the application particularly important. Building size and layout, heat loads, occupancy, ventilation and operational requirements can all influence how a system should be designed and applied.

CPA’s role goes beyond recommending a Breezair model. Its engineers consider the building, the cooling challenge and what needs to be achieved before determining the appropriate approach.

But Does Evaporative Cooling Work in the UK?

It’s a question we’re often asked. Because evaporative cooling performance is influenced by relative humidity, there can be a perception that the UK’s climate makes the technology unsuitable.

In practice, there are several factors to consider. Temperature, relative humidity, location, building conditions and airflow all play a part in determining the cooling that can be achieved.

Our technical guide, Cooling of Supply Air Using Direct Evaporative Cooling, explores the cooling that can be achieved across a range of UK climate conditions and the factors to consider for individual applications. Download the Technical Guide
